| Customer Flow Overview |
What is Customer Flow?Customer flow is the use of rails and turnstiles to deter the potential for theft and increase the safety for all customers and staff. Provent recognizes customer flow as an important tool in combating theft and adds value by creating a safe and effecting way of guiding customers in and out of your premises. By clearly marking the entrance and exit of your store, potential thieves are deterred from attempting the grab and run. By reducing the threat of a grab and run your staff can focus on excellent customer service and other loss prevention techniques, which are taught in our education products. Rails and turnstiles are particularly effective in liquor stores and consumer electronic retailers, however they are not limited, and can be useful to any retailer with small, easy to grab products. How does Customer Flow work?Retailers use a series of rails or stanchions at the entrance and/or the exit of their premises to clearly define the path for the customer. Rails are made of chrome and are a permanent solution, Provent has partnered with Turnstyles Security Systems to deliver a product that is 100% manufactured in Canada. Rails deter theft by forcing potential thieves in one direction and causing them to slow down to exit the store. Stanchions are temporary and are made of plastic, this solution allows the retailer to be more flexible in their use, all the while deterring theft.
