Job Description
This position is a direct sales position working in a team environment selling wireless store and merchandise protection solutions to retail accounts at the store owner level in British Columbia. The primary responsibilities for this position are to continue to serve existing retail customers while expanding the retail customer base through the creation of strong customer relationships.
The successful candidate will have a positive attitude which, when combined with demonstrated sales skills working in a team environment, leads to achievement of agreed upon goals. The major focus of the sales team is on customer satisfaction and retention.
This position is based out of Provent’s head office in Richmond B.C and reports directly to our Director of Sales who leads the sales team. Some travel out of the Lower Mainland is required, but usually not more than once each calendar quarter. Reliable transportation is a must. The workweek is Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and some outside commitments are required.
The retail industry is undergoing enormous changes through the introduction of technology into what has traditionally been a very labour intensive industry. This is a wonderful learning opportunity and an exciting chance to get involved at the beginning of this revolution and to be an integral part of the changing landscape. The successful candidate will be trained and working as an integral part of Provent’s sales and marketing team environment.
Compensation Structure
Compensation consists of a competitive salary plus commission, expenses and benefits. Commissions are paid on all transactions over an agreed upon minimum sales target. As customer relationships are Provent’s focus, as well as on sales to new customers, commissions are earned on ongoing sales to existing customers for which the successful candidate is responsible whether or not the sales person initiated the sale. The successful candidate will be entitled to participate in Provent’s employee profit sharing plan.
